Saturdays Through September 26, 2026
Start your Saturday morning on Yampa Street at the Steamboat Springs Farmers Market. Running from 9 AM to 2 PM every Saturday through September 26, the market brings local farmers, ranchers, artisans and food vendors together in the heart of downtown.
Browse fresh produce, handmade goods and local specialties while enjoying live music and the atmosphere of downtown Steamboat. It is an easy addition to a fall weekend, especially before heading out for an afternoon hike or scenic drive.

September 11–12, 2026
Steamboat puts a Western spin on Oktoberfest with one of its most anticipated fall traditions. OktoberWest returns September 11 and 12, 2026, bringing craft beverages, food, live entertainment and plenty of fall energy to town.
The weekend starts Friday with the Downtown Beer Stroll from 4–7 PM. Guests can make their way through participating Steamboat restaurants while sampling specialty beers along the route.
On Saturday, the festivities move to Steamboat Square from 1–6 PM for the main OktoberWest celebration. Look for craft beverages, the annual beef cook-off, lawn games, vendors and entertainment at the base of the mountain.

September 18–19, 2026
Steamboat’s trails take center stage when Run Rabbit Run returns for another challenging weekend of mountain racing. The nationally recognized event draws elite ultrarunners and dedicated endurance athletes to Steamboat for its legendary 50-mile and 100-mile courses.
The 100-mile race begins Friday, September 18, at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area before taking runners through Buffalo Pass, Emerald Mountain and town. The 50-mile race follows Saturday, September 19, beginning at 6 AM and climbing toward Mount Werner and the Continental Divide.
Even if running 50 or 100 miles is not on your vacation itinerary, the race weekend brings an incredible energy to town as runners, crews and spectators gather for one of Steamboat’s signature endurance events.

October 1–4, 2026
Fall gets a little more indulgent when the Steamboat Food & Wine Festival returns October 1–4, 2026.
The four-day festival brings chefs, winemakers and guests together for curated dinners, tastings, seminars and culinary experiences throughout Steamboat Springs. Events range from intimate chef-driven dinners to educational tastings and special gatherings around town and on the mountain.
One of the weekend’s signature events is the Grand Tasting on Saturday, October 3, featuring chefs, wineries and beverage partners together at Steamboat Square.

Keep the culinary celebration going with Steamboat Restaurant Week from October 3–10, 2026.
Participating restaurants around Steamboat will showcase special selections designed to highlight the local dining scene. For 2026, restaurants can feature a Chef’s Choice, highlighting a signature or specially curated creation, an Eat Like a Local selection featuring a hometown favorite, or both.
Restaurant Week overlaps with the final two days of the Steamboat Food & Wine Festival, making the first weekend of October an especially good time for travelers who like to build their itinerary around memorable meals.
