Lundy Canyon

Lundy Canyon Trail is one of the most highly-regarded hikes in the Eastern Sierra to discover wildflowers, but it also boasts incredible cascading waterfalls you’ll remember for the rest of your life. This 3-mile out and back hike is moderate to challenging, but views of the vibrant canyon this time of year are worth every step!

Rainbow Falls

Over 75,000 years ago, magma deep in the earth’s crust rose up and erupted to create the highest waterfall on the middle fork of the San Joaquin River — Rainbow Falls. This gorgeous 80-foot waterfall was given its name due to the rainbows that appear through the mist on beautiful, sunny summer days. If you’re up for a day of sightseeing, Rainbow Falls Trail is a must on your Mammoth Lakes bucket list.
