The lifeblood of Steamboat Springs is the Yampa River. The Yampa is the only free-flowing river of Colorado, all 261 miles of the river are unobstructed by any dams or diversions. The river begins in the Flat Top mountain range which then flows north through the Stagecoach Resivor then Lake Catamount which then flows into Steamboat Springs and beyond. As you can enjoy the beautiful river from a local restaurant or from the shore, numerous recreational activities are enjoyed by our locals and visitors. Some of the activities you can participate in are; tubbing, rafting, fishing, paddle boarding and so much more!
