Mammoth Lakes continues to evolve as a premier mountain destination, and its newest addition is raising the bar for modern alpine hospitality. Limelight Mammoth officially opened its doors this week, introducing the brand’s first California property and a new social and sustainability focused hub just steps from The Village at Mammoth and the Village Gondola.
Managed by Aspen One through its hospitality division, Aspen Hospitality, Limelight Mammoth brings the brand’s signature blend of comfort, design, and community to the Eastern Sierra.

Limelight Mammoth features 149 guest rooms, including 25 suites, all designed with a relaxed alpine aesthetic that prioritizes comfort and function. Large windows frame sweeping views of the Sherwin mountain range, while thoughtful layouts make it easy for guests to transition between mountain adventures and downtime.
For travelers looking for a longer stay or a more residential experience, the property also offers 15 private residences. These two to five bedroom homes are fully furnished and include complete kitchens, laundry rooms, generous storage, and private elevator access, creating a true home base for extended visits to Mammoth Lakes.

Mammoth’s First All Electric Hotel
What truly sets Limelight Mammoth apart is its strong commitment to sustainability. The property was developed as an all electric hotel, using energy efficient heat pumps in place of traditional fossil fuel based systems. As renewable energy continues to expand across the grid, the building is designed to become even more environmentally friendly over time.
Sustainable features extend throughout the property, from native landscaping and reclaimed materials to on site electric vehicle charging stations. Guests can also take advantage of the hotel’s all electric Audi fleet, reinforcing Aspen One’s broader commitment to climate leadership and responsible travel.

Limelight Mammoth is designed to be more than just a place to stay. At its center is the Limelight Lounge, an all day gathering space that serves breakfast, après, and dinner. The menu blends California freshness with Italian inspired comfort, featuring hand stretched pizzas, shareable plates, and alpine inspired cocktails.
The lounge also anchors the hotel’s entertainment programming, hosting live music and DJ sets that highlight local and visiting talent. With its welcoming atmosphere and flexible flow from morning to evening, the Limelight Lounge is positioned to become a favorite meeting place for visitors and locals alike.

Frequent visitors can elevate their experience by joining the Mammoth Lakes Mountain Club, a members only ski and social club located within the hotel. Inspired by the Aspen Mountain Club and Snowmass Mountain Club, membership includes access to a private lounge, outdoor terrace with firepits, all day bar, ski valet, personal lockers, fitness center and pool privileges, dedicated parking, and semi private workspaces. Members also enjoy a year round calendar of curated events and experiences.

Limelight Mammoth offers immediate access to some of the best terrain in California. The Village Gondola is only a short walk away, providing direct access to the mountain in winter and scenic rides, hiking, and biking access in summer.
Beyond the slopes, guests are perfectly positioned to enjoy dining, shopping, and events at The Village, making it easy to experience Mammoth Lakes without relying on a car.
With its forward thinking sustainability, refined design, and emphasis on connection and community, Limelight Mammoth represents a meaningful addition to Mammoth Lakes. Whether visiting for a winter ski trip, a summer escape, or a longer mountain stay, this new hotel offers a modern basecamp that reflects where mountain travel is headed next.
